    The highly successful public television show, Bake Decorate Celebrate! launched its first season in February 2006. After completing its third successful season in May 2007 the show was honored with two coveted Bronze Telly Awards in the television and video category.  Broadcasts of the show more than doubled since the beginning of the second season, with 350 public television stations across the country airing the show. Now into its eighth season, Bake Decorate Celebrate! continues to provide viewers with exciting ideas for making and decorating desserts and delicious treats.

    Bake Decorate Celebrate! is an exciting television series that features dessert decorating ideas for every occasion, offers practical techniques and inspiration for every occasion. The show combines elements of cooking, lifestyle, and how-to, creating an exciting program guaranteed to appeal to a broad range of viewers. Co-hosts, Nancy Siler and Melanie Glasscock welcome viewers into the Bake Decorate Celebrate! kitchen to show viewers how to create wonderful cakes, cookies, cupcakes and other edible treats that taste just as good as they look.

    Viewers will relate to their charming chemistry, blending Nancy’s dessert expertise with Melanie’s lifestyle experiences. The enthusiasm these two ladies share with the viewing audience, will encourage all to create the many fantastic goodies. Tuning in, viewers will see that they do not need to be a professional cake decorator to be able to achieve spectacular results. Nancy and Melanie showcase simple, time-saving techniques that will make any event special.

    A different theme is featured weekly including everything from Children’s Birthdays, to homemade Tarts, Cheesecakes and Appetizers. Two feature segments tie each episode together: Decorating Basics provides easy first steps for successful baking; Decorating Tips shows how many beautiful designs using the simplest of tools – a decorating tip and bag. Also, featured is the “Ask Nancy” segment where Nancy expertly answers viewers baking and decorating questions.

    Season 8

    801 Beautiful Blossoms: Beautiful blossoms is the theme of the first show, opening with an oval shaped calla lily cake using fondant decorations. Next, is a Busy Moms segment with Beth Madland – learn how wraps and pics can make a cupcake fit just about any occasion. Then, it’s a visit on location to the test kitchen for a delicious cannoli cake recipe with Nancy and Beth Somers. Nancy finishes decorating the cake in the studio kitchen. The last segment features Nancy in a tool tip segment about measuring basics.

    802 Eat Your Fruit and Veggies: This show offers some solutions for healthier baking using some surprising ingredients. The first recipe is a veggie cake with chocolate chips, baked in the test kitchen with Beth Somers. Nancy returns to the studio kitchen to decorate the cake with marzipan veggies. The Busy Moms segment features icing cupcakes and ideas for how to decorate them with sprinkles and candies. Nancy returns to the test kitchen with Beth Somers to make citrus avocado cupcakes. Then, Nancy decorates them with simple fruit designs. Last is Nancy’s tool tip segment. She discusses must have mixing tools.

    803 Just for Kids: Projects featured are for kids or kids at heart. The first cake is a wacky face design. It’s a creative use of candy and a shaped pan. Decorating expert Angie Thayer demonstrates quick themed cakes for busy moms. Next, Nancy creates cookie sandwich monsters. Nancy returns to the test kitchen to talk about bake ware basics – what pans are made of and what materials are used for what type of baking. Angie Thayer has a bonus tip for busy moms that will make lunches more fun. The last show segment features edible ABC’s.

    804 Big Top: We head for the big top for circus inspired decorating ideas. The first cake is a carousel. Then, it’s on location with Angie Thayer for candy making just for busy moms. Next, it’s a side show – with tent cupcakes for an individual treat. Then, we join Nancy for bake ware basics about popular pan sizes. Finally, it’s a circus train made from rice cereal treats.

    805 Silver and Gold: Featuring silver and gold, Rose decorations embellished with pearl dust are demonstrated for the first cake. In the Busy Moms segment, Beth Madland creates a presentation using cupcakes. The next dessert is a fondant cutout cake featuring stars. In the final segment Nancy talks about bake ware basics and your oven.

    806 Funky Fondant: Fondant is a lot like edible modeling clay. Using fondant, the first cake is also a gift – it’s pinstriped and topped with a bow for an all occasion gift cake. Angie Thayer creates candy cutouts in the test kitchen during the Busy Moms segment. The next cake is a contemporary and colorful flower cake made with fondant cutouts. Finally, Nancy discusses bake ware basics once your cake is out of the oven.

    807 All-Star Lineup: Be the hit your next sports banquet with this all star lineup. The first segment features sparkling all star cookies. Then, Beth Madland demonstrates quick but sophisticated cupcakes in the Busy Moms segment. Next, is a fondant covered tiered cake – an all star salute to students everywhere and every age.  Finally Nancy discusses tools for easy – no bag or tip decorating using sprinkles.

    808 Chocolate Art: The first segment starts with a three layer German chocolate cake recipe at the test kitchen, then decorated with dipped strawberries.  Diana Rodriquez appears in the test kitchen with an idea for busy moms with cookie pops for kids. Next, is a decadent dessert recipe for black forest cake finished with a chocolate filigree topper. Finally, it’s more easy no bag decorating using icing in Nancy’s tool segment.

    809 Party on Safari: Animal prints are popping up everywhere. The first decorating project features a zebra print cake in a unique shape. Then, it’s Angie Thayer to the rescue for busy moms everywhere and easy peanut butter bars. Next, it’s another animal fur pattern – this time Nancy and Beth make giraffe cut out brownies. Then, it’s our basics segment with a tutorial on the types of icing and when to use each. Finally, learn how to decorate cookies using chocolate melts.

    810 Fun Food: This show features creating a main course meal that looks like dessert and a sweet dessert version of another favorite meal. The first segment is a shepherd’s pie that looks like a dessert but is really a savory main dish. Then, to the test kitchen for graham cracker bars with Diana Rodriguez in the Busy Mom feature. Next, is a dessert pizza featuring cookie dough, rice cereal, marshmallows, and fruit. Finally, back to the test kitchen and an icing competition – two techniques for icing a cake with Nancy and Beth Somers.

    811 International: Baking is an international activity with designs that can be adapted to any or all countries. The first cake project features a globe with costumed cookies as embellishment. Then, Diana Rodriguez has a dough recipe that can be sweet or savory for quick treats for busy moms. Next, create cookies featuring flags of every country featuring color flow icing techniques. Finally, it’s back to the test kitchen with Nancy and the tools that are used for tip decorating.

    812 Bug Off! Butterflies and bees are taking over our decorating. A cake decorated with a bevy of fondant butterflies in different colors and sizes is the first project. Next, Diana Rodriquez is back with a brownie treat for busy moms. Then, a bee hive cake uses dimensional pans and a special recipe that was developed in the test kitchen. Nancy’s tool tip segment is a tutorial on easy bag and tip borders. The last segment features pretzel and candy butterflies.

    813 For the Birds: Birds of every type are showing up on clothes, charms on jewelry, designs on pillows and fabrics. It’s only natural that birds will be perched on cakes and cookies. The first dessert features brush embroidery on a two tiered cake – it’s a simple technique that mimics painting. Beth has the last Busy Moms’ idea and popcorn balls treats. Then it’s time for birds nest cookies – this a new unique recipe featuring Jordan almonds as eggs. Finally it’s a lesson in cake penmanship with Nancy on our final tool segment at the test kitchen.

    Season 7

    Episode 701 – Fashion: First up, try our Cosmo cake decorated with girl icons like shoes and purses. Then, we have a new “Ask Nancy” feature – fondant continues to be the number one request on the Bake Decorate Celebrate! website – so this season each week Nancy will be answering questions on fondant and giving us a lesson on fondant techniques. Last up, – no fashion story would be complete without the perfect purse – to match those shoes of course!

    Episode 702 – 3D: Why settle for a flat cake when you can make a dessert centerpiece? Both of our cake designs today are 3D. Our first cake is a gingerbread basket filled with cookie flowers – perfect for a centerpiece and also a great get well or housewarming gift. Then, it’s our second fondant lesson – what happens when you need a different color of fondant? Last up, we have a totally amazing tiffany style lamp – it really looks like a real lamp – and your guests will be so impressed.

    Episode 703 – Brownies: Our first brownie treat is a brownie cheesecake. Next, it’s brownies a whole new way as brownie pops – this is an amazing dessert fondue for your next party. We also have the ultimate brownie recipe with quadruple chocolate and we’re going to show you all different ways to decorate and serve them for a very special presentation.

    Episode 704 – Your House or Mine: Up first we have a special guest Christina Banner, the author of a book on gingerbread – and not just for holidays. Next, it’s a house for mans best friend – you won’t be in the doghouse if you make this adorable rice cereal house. We finish up with a sweet candy house.

    Episode 705 – Chocolate: In this episode, we have some very decadent examples of ultimate chocolate cakes.  The first is a three layer orange chocolate cake garnished with gold dusted chocolate curls. Finally it’s a beautiful and totally decadent chocolate creation:  White chocolate cake with dark chocolate flecks, dark chocolate icing and a white and dark chocolate candy melt wrap.

    Episode 706 – A Tisket, a Tasket: First up is a round chocolate basket cake filled with strawberries and daisies – there’s also a wonderful strawberry filling inside. Our final basket employs a totally different basket technique using fondant strips.  We also  show you a fun way to make flowers.

    Episode 707 – Pirates: Our first cake is a pirate’s treasure chest filled with candy treasures. Next, it’s a whimsical rice cereal pirate ship – this is every little boy’s favorite. Last up, it’s buccaneer cupcakes in a unique holder – every young pirate will want to help create their own.

    Episode 708 – Retro: We start out today’s show with a special guest, Autumn Carpenter. She’s known for whimsical, retro designs with a colorful flair. Today’s cake features paisley. Last up, its more fondant, and neon colors, butterflies and flowers for a retro look.

    Episode 709 – Nuts to You: Nuts are a versatile ingredient that adds a lot of flavor to your dessert. Our first cake features pecans in a lemon sponge cake. Then, we’ll create almond Florentine nut cups – the perfect holder for mousse and ice cream. Last up, its hazelnut sticky buns – the perfect sweet addition to your morning coffee.

    Episode 710 – Seashore: Edible sand covers our sandcastle cake plus a little bit of blue ocean and beautiful seashells. Last up, it seashore cupcakes with a little bit of ocean baked into the recipe — easy-to-carry treats for your next beach party.

    Episode 711 – Animals Everywhere: Candy molds and jumbo confetti create quick decorations! Next, find a new use for a soccer ball cake pan as we make a friendly lion for your favorite Leo. And finally it’s a quick treat made from toasted oats, raisins, peanuts and peanut butter in another specialty pan.

    Episode 712 – Faux Food: We start out with a cheeseburgers and fries – it may look like a dinner treat but it’s really a fanciful dessert. Then, its meat loaf and mashed potatoes – these cupcakes will really surprise you! Then we end with candy tacos for final faux food fun.

    Episode 713 – Nature: Our first cake features beautiful fondant leaves – this cake is so elegant. Then, it’s the final fondant tip – Nancy is showing us how to make bows and streamers. Last, it’s our final design utilizing many of the tips we’ve learned about fondant in a square basket design featuring ribbon roses.

    Season 6

    Episode 601 – Birds and Butterflies: The first recipe is a beautiful fondant cake with 3D butterflies and both silk and fondant flowers. Then we’ve invited expert decorator and teacher, Sandy Folsom to demonstrate flowers — today is the rosebud and half rose. Our final cake features a hummingbird hovering on top tasting the nectar of some beautiful icing flowers.

    Episode 602 – Simply Asian: One of the hallmarks of Asian designs is simplicity.   That describes our first cake featuring cherry blossoms, a symbol of Japanese design. Then we take a departure from traditional cakes for a savory main dish cheesecake featuring chicken, rice, soy and wasabi for a taste of Asia.

    Episode 603 – Chocolate and More Chocolate: Pink and brown is one of the newest color stories, so we’ve incorporated colored fondant on a fabulous tiered cake as our first design. Then it’s a favorite cake which combines easy decorating with great ingredients starting with chocolate plus fresh raspberries.

    Episode 604 – A Slice of Americana: We start out with a true slice of Americana and a patriotic cake featuring the Statue of Liberty. Next it’s a giant flag cookie decorated with fondant and gel for an easy portable treat. Finally, its red, white and blue, peppermint and cinnamon bark for a patriotic color scheme with complimentary tastes.

    Episode – 605 Deliciously Decadent Desserts: Our first dessert is a new spin on a traditional favorite: cheesecake. When we’ve combined chocolate and strawberries all in one cake, who can resist? Then it’s another decadent dessert: tiramisu charlotte; it’s quick and easy but guaranteed to have great reviews.

    Episode 606 – Pets: Our first project is a peanut butter cake that features your favorite canine.  We even have tips on how to create dog decorations that match your pet. Then it’s a dog biscuit for our furry friends. Last up we create a treat we like to call “people chow”; a munchy snack just for people.

    Episode 607 – A Touch of Lace: We start out creating our own lace ribbon from fondant — change the color and size to fit any cake. Then it’s another new flower from Sandy. We’re featuring the pansy and a great chance to show off your skills using different colors of icing.  Then it’s a different look at lace with a free form sota design in chocolate.

    Episode 608 – Planes, Trains and Cars: Get ready to roll with a transportation theme cake with an added bonus of cookies and a great treat for a kid’s birthday. Then it’s our next flower on our weekly decorating tip and one of the first flowers of spring: the daffodil.  Then take flight with cupcakes and rice cereal treats and lastly helicopter cupcakes for individual treats.

    Episode 609 – Elegance in Black and White: Our first cake is very traditional. It’s reminiscent of stenciling and created with fondant, all in black and white. Then it’s decorating tips with Sandy, and sweet peas and bachelor buttons. Finally black and white just might mean chocolate; dark and white, for a chocolate coconut tart.

    Episode 610 – Princesses and Fairies: Today we feature magical cake designs for the dreamer in us all.  The first cake is a fairy house for your favorite princess. Then it’s elegant lilies in our woodland garden with decorating tips with Sandy Folsom. Then the fairy princess gets her own crown with our final cake for every girl, little or big.

    Episode 611 – Fun and Whimsical Cupcakes: Our first cupcake is a Ferris wheel cake made up of individual cupcakes. Then Sandy Folsom demonstrates the primrose for delicate beauty on your decorated cakes.  Then we have a special guest, author Laura Numeroff.  She’ll treat us to ideas from her books and her inspiration for such titles as “If you give a mouse a cookie!”  Last up we have a final whimsical cupcake recipe for “dirt” cupcakes.

    Episode 612 – Geometric Designs: Head back to school for a lesson in geometry; but we promise it will be easy, all you need to know are basic shapes. Fondant is a great medium for creating geometric designs and a favorite for colorful cakes.  First up is a two tiered cake in crazy colors and design that could only be created in fondant. Last up is a quilted cake design that is adaptable to any occasion by changing colors.

    Episode 613 – Candy Anyone?: We’ve been shopping at the corner candy store for some perfect decorations for quick and easy cakes. Our first treat is a candy crown made from candy “clay”. Then it’s decorating tips with Sandy Folsom and how to make leaves and attach flowers. Last up is a candy cake: the best of both sweet treats in one design plus a few ice cream cones!

    Episode 501 – All That Glitters: No matter what the occasion, nothing says celebration like a little shimmer and bling. Whether you’re serving cake, cookies, candy or a combination, we show you how simple it is to add sparkle to your family’s favorites as well as showing you a few new project ideas.

    Episode 502 – Coffee Lover’s Alert: Coffee is hot, hot, hot and we have some delicious projects that will “perk up” any celebration. From a coffee flavored cake in the shape of a cup to coffee cups made from candy and filled with whipped ganache, we have the perfect treats for any coffee lover.

    Episode 503 – O, O, O: Circles, circles and more circles . . . from the shapes of our projects, to the shape of our decorations, circles makes these desserts fun and festive. We also show you how easy it is to work with yeast breads – in the shape of a circle, of course.

    Episode 504 – Gifts From The Kitchen: The kitchen is the heart of the home, so gifts from the kitchen come right from your heart. We offer a traditional zucchini bread that has an added twist – chopped apple. And, while candy is always much appreciated, when it’s homemade, no one can resist? We also have creative ideas for packaging your goodies.

    Episode 505 – Captivating Cookies: Three new recipes for your cookie jar and a new family tradition: baking cookies all year round – a treat not just for the holidays. First are delicate oatmeal lace cookies. Next, its chocolate macaroons and some very clever gift giving ideas. The last cookie is white chocolate crescents – perfect for your next tea.

    Episode 506 – Everything’s Coming Up Daisies: Daisies embody optimism and fun, and are the perfect accent to so many different occasions. First up it’s a  yellow sugared daisy with piped chocolate icing and jimmies. Then its daisy cookie cutters and three flavors of fudge plus some daisy candies. Last up we have cute favor ideas featuring daisies.

    Episode 507 – Down on the Farm: Our first design is about creating a barn yard scene decorated with cookies. You might even add a few animals. Next its time for some real fun and a wallow in the mud with this great barnyard pig cake. Last, Janette Pfertner has a lesson on fondant draping.

    Episode 508 – A Walk in the Garden: We start out with simple cookies and cupcakes and cute treats for every age. Next we have a special segment taped on-location with Nicholas Lodge, a premier decorator with his wonderful gum paste butterflies. Last up we make one more stop at the ICES show and meet Cora Smith and an amazing gerber daisy.

    Episode 509 – For Kids Only: Get kids started baking early with treats that they can be successful with and ones that will appeal to their tastes.  The first cake fits all of the criteria, it’s made from rice cereal, and it’s silly – perfect for every kid. Next its everyone favorite: s’mores, but in a cookie bar form!

    Episode 510 – Picnics: We start out with a whimsical cake featuring your favorite bugs — no picnic is complete without them. Then every picnic needs watermelon, but even when they’re out of season you can make this adorable watermelon cake. Last meet Kathy Fry, the co – show director of ICES and take a walk around the show and see some of the amazing picnic spreads.

    Episode 401 – Elegant Desserts: Elegant desserts don’t have to be difficult or time consuming. Whether the occasion is a special dinner party with candlelight and a beautiful table meant to impress, or for a simpler dinner when you’re treating your family like honored guests, we show you how easy it is to make cheesecake, rich ganache-topped bars, or creamy mousse-filled chocolate bombes.

    Episode 402 – Tea Time: A tea party is appropriate for a bridal shower, special birthday or just a gathering of friends. No matter the occasion, pretty, delicate and dainty should describe the treats served. We’re sharing uncomplicated recipes and simple decorating tricks to make these easy-to-fix, luscious and oh-so-pretty delicacies.

    Episode 403 – Boys Toys: No matter what the reason for the celebration, treat the man (or men) in your life with tasty treats that represent their hobbies or interests. Young or old, all boys love their toys, especially when they have wheels. The projects here focus on transportation – from trains to planes to automobiles – with a few dinosaurs thrown in for good measure. We show you how easy they are to make, even a novice can create them!

    Episode 404 – First Birthday: A selection of special desserts for that all important First Birthday. Each includes the equally key “smash cake” – a single-serving cake made just for the birthday boy or girl. We’ll show you the secrets to successfully making 3D and shaped cakes, and demonstrate how easy they are to decorate. Family and friends will be fittingly impressed with your talents!

    Episode 405 – Sweet & Savory Goodies in Small Packages: Good things come in small packages, and we’re showcasing treats small in size but large in flavor and impact! There is a selection of both sweet and savory “minis”, and all are so easy to make. So whether you’re looking for a refreshing gelatin treat, an appetizer spread with kick or a berry sweet end to a meal, you’ll see that tiny bites can be pretty special.

    Episode 406 – For the Diva: First on our list is a diva cake right down to the tiara; we use a special mold to create this doll cake. Then the Decorating Tip is the zig zag. Next every diva or princess needs a bag to carry her treasures – and we have the perfect purse cake. Last is Ask Nancy – visitors to our web site want to know about freezing cakes.

    Episode 407 – Grown-Up Birthdays: First up is a cake we titled “in the line of fire” – the gingerbread boy – is getting a little close to those birthday candles.     Episode 410 – Baby Showers: Our first cake uses one main decorating tip – if you can use a star tip you can make this baby bib cake. Next is a simple technique resulting in a cake that looks just like a baby blanket. Last we’ve added something unique to finish up the show – a few ideas for a shower tablescape.

    Episode 411 – Football: Your baking pans are not just for cakes – we’ve got a cornbread pie in a football design pan. Then it’s a bread recipe in a pennant pan with a salsa dip in the center.   We’ve also got a variation using the same bread recipe for a giant sandwich. We also have some decorating ideas for your next football party.

    Episode 412 – Lions and Tigers and Bears: Our first cake is a perfect jungle featuring premade icing decorations and figures – but we didn’t stop there. Cake # 2 is a bit tamer – this bear is a real teddy bear!   And we’ve got some great variations too. Then our visitors to our site have questions on using fresh flowers in their decorating.

    Episode 304 – Favorite Desserts: Everyone has a favorite tried and true dessert recipe, and this show features our specialties. We want to encourage every generation to try baking. You might think of animals as “just for kids” treats, but they turn up in classic designs too. Then its animal cookies – but these aren’t your standard creatures. Last up, its fun critters using rice cereal.

    Episode 307 – Berries by the Bushel: All sorts of berries are so plentiful in the stores today – in season and out and they’re a favorite embellishment. First up we have a spectacular dessert featuring strawberry and white chocolate cream cheese icing. Our second dessert features the basketweave tip and sugared berries. Last up is an almond berry tart!

    Episode 308 – Quick-Change Desserts: These are desserts that with a few simple changes can be adapted to all different occasions! With a little practice, these desserts can become your foolproof, last minute dessert. Next, balloons are a symbol of celebration. Last up are shell borders.  They instantly make your dessert more professional, whatever the occasion.

    Episode 309 – Bake a Little Romance: Show your affection by making a special dessert. One of our desserts is a small German chocolate cake featuring candy roses and chocolate ganache. Last up it’s a heart shaped gingerbread cookie box – what surprise will you put inside?

    Episode 310 – Shape up: No, we’re not dieting–  just exploring great rectangular cakes! On our first segment, give an edible gift –where the package is as pretty as the gift. Next the message of love is simple with the Hearts Galore Cake. Last up we take a break from sweets with savory tarts: apple, brie and chicken fajitas; all in a rectangular package.

    Episode 311 – Dessert Surprises: Every one of these creations has something a little bit different and unexpected: our first cake is the topsy turvy cake. Then it’s the banana split cake with a surprise inside. Our decorating feature is trees and hearts with specialty tips.  The final surprise is a pizza, made from candy!

    Episode 312 – Tropical and Tasty Desserts: We all like to add a little sunshine to our celebrations and the easiest way is with a tropical themed dessert. Swim right up to our first cake featuring aquatic plants and fish. Then we’ve raided the palm trees for a few coconuts for a traditional recipe featuring toasted coconut. Our final dessert is margarita flavored cupcakes.

    Episode 313 – So Simple Desserts: No one seems to have enough time, but with simple recipes and easy decorating tips we can have a spectacular dessert in record time. Today it’s more simple desserts made from layering prepared foods. Last up, ice cream is the key ingredient for this sweet treat.

    Episode 202 – What’s Your Favorite Sport?: No matter the sport, whether you’re a participant or spectator, we have cakes, cupcakes, even sandwich and appetizer ideas perfect for the celebrating … the perfect game, a hole-in-one, the end of season, any occasion!

    Episode 203 – Tarts, Cheesecakes & Appetizers: Signature recipes that will wow the guests without taxing the host. These projects emphasize the baking, showing you how easy it is to make tarts, cheesecakes and several appetizers.

    Episode 204 – Hearts Galore: Hearts for the special person and special occasion. From a crown of hearts cake to a heart-shaped candy big enough to share, we offer a variety of heart-shaped projects perfect for saying “I love you.”

    Episode 205 – Patriotic: Raise the flag on a host of projects featuring patriotic designs decorating cookie pops, cakes, gelatin treats and cupcakes. We’ve even enlisted Uncle Sam!

    Episode 206 – Kids Parties: This show covers more than just the cake – we’ve got some invitations and other party ideas too! On decorating basics, we’ll be exploring all of the different types of cookies. Then its time for the boys with a pirate cake – shaped cake pans make designing easy and we have favor ideas too.

    Episode 207 – Big Celebrations: Are you maybe a little intimidated at the thought of making a dessert for lots of guests? After this show you won’t be, because we’ve got some ideas that are easy enough for beginners, but elaborate enough to impress every guest. When it’s lots of guests you need a tiered cake; up first we have a retro design that serves over 150 guests!

    Episode 208 – Beach and Pool Parties: If you’re looking for summer party ideas have we  got ideas for you!  First up is a great beach-themed cake complete with flip flops, sand and even an umbrella. Then its time for more summer fun, with a candy clock face. Our last feature dessert is the palm tree cake – with one surprise – the cake is actually a rice krispie treat.

    Episode 209 – Quick Desserts: Its 5 o’clock and your guests are arriving at 6; you got home late and you need a fancy dessert. This is when you need short cuts to impressive desserts that taste great but take only minutes.

    Episode 210 – Gingerbread: Gingerbread is not just for the holidays! We start out with a favorite: gingerbread houses, but we’ve added a twist with a bunny hutch. Then it’s year round gingerbread with people of every shape and size. Last up its truffles and muffins– gingerbread of course!

    Episode 211 – Shaped Pans: Shaped pans are the answer when you want an intricate looking design without the hassle of baking multiple cakes and then piecing them together. On decorating tips we have one of the most beautiful traditional flowers – the rose. Next up is a daisy – you can’t go wrong with a flower theme for any celebration.

    Episode 212 – Easy, Pretty Cakes: Everyone loves to create beautiful cakes, but sometimes we’re worried that our cakes will not look like the experts. If that’s you, then “Easy, Pretty Cakes” is for you. The decorating basic is how to read recipes. It’s not hard; there are just a few hints that will make your baking more accurate. Last but not least, it’s molten chocolate cakes that are bubbling over with chocolate.

    Episode 213 – Showers: We celebrate a lot of big events with a shower; from babies to engagements, to weddings. First, we have a petal cake featuring fondant– and as an added bonus it’s tiered to feed a larger crowd. We also have a special guest, Rose Levy Beranbaum, author and cake specialist, with a special cake recipe.

    Episode 101 – Kids Birthday Party: What’s the first occasion that starts you decorating – a kids birthday party. Ease into cake decorating with simple and fun ideas for girls and boys of all ages. Our feature cakes are “Candy Cake” and “Spider”; we’ve also got some wonderful alternatives to kid’s cakes like gelatin delights and rice cereal squares. Last up it’s a great celebration idea – decorate your own cupcakes or cookies as a party activity and favor – we’ll show you how.

    Episode 102 – Garden Party: It’s time for an outdoor party with plenty of flowers. Whether it’s a baby shower, wedding, or a cake for that special mom – we have sweet designs with that “just picked” look. Decorate a heart and flower cake or baby buggy first, then cookies are blooming in their own pots; last up flowers are not just for cakes – cupcakes are an easy alternative with fondant.

    Episode 103 – Fondant: If you haven’t tried working with fondant, you’ll be amazed at the techniques you can do easily with this type of icing. Bow cakes are for every occasion – just change the colors. It’s simple to start with a basic fondant cake and add decorations, or stamp, sponge and write on fondant.

    Episode 104 – Cupcakes: When is a cake not a cake? When it’s a cupcake! The same decorating tips you use on more elaborate designs are the basis for quick, easy and elegant cupcakes. From chocolate swirl to monsters, you’ll love these designs. Our second project is all about embellishment – EZ decorating with candy, gum drops and sprinkles. And our final feature is cupcakes and more – how you arrange the finished cupcakes can create the look of a cake!

    Episode 105 – One Tip Decorating – The Star: We all want to make professional looking and elegant cakes. We’ll show you designs using just one decorating tip. That’s all you need to create our feature butterfly cake. The star tip shows up again on our second project; a flower cookie cutter cake and cupcake. Last up is the always beautiful Rosette cake– we bet you didn’t know it was this easy to do!

    Episode 106 – Chocolate Treats: Remember our name is Bake, Decorate AND Celebrate – and chocolate is a big part of that equation. Its not just cakes-today we feature chocolate treats such as lollipops and candy shells.  Then our second project takes chocolate one step farther with clusters, drizzling and dipping, plus adding sprinkles and sugars.  And last up chocolate as an accent – on cakes, cookies, and even as a place card.

    Episode 107 – Quick and EZ: When you just don’t have the time to do all the decorating you’d like, we come to your rescue with quick and EZ decorating: adding candy pieces for a fantastic fish cake plus mini toppers and embellishments that are ready made. Staying with quick and easy, our second technique is stencil decorating with colors, sugars and even food markers.  Last up, sometimes a simple sentiment is all you need – we show you how with piping gel and tube icing.

    Episode 108 – Easy Drop Flowers: When you think of cake decorating, flowers are the first design that comes to mind. Drop flowers are perfect for beginners yet elegant enough for the most experienced cake decorator.  Fondant and flowers is a winning combination on our second feature cake.  And last, smaller is easier and faster with petit fours featuring flowers.

    Episode 109 – Cookies: Giant cookies are taking over the kitchen – for every occasion from parties to get well. It’s the same basic techniques whatever the surface.  You’ll be proud to show off your cookies at the next cookie exchange with spritz dough cookies.  And our last project features traditional cookies like cookie cutter designs and sandwiches.

    Episode 110 – Simple Tiered Cakes: Tiered cakes are some of the most elegant and intricate looking designs – but you don’t have to start out difficult.  There are easy tools and techniques to making tiered cakes in our first project.  Learn dowel rod construction and a simple stacked design for our second cake.  Lastly, create a large brown bear from tiered cakes and learn about hidden pillar construction.

    Episode 111 – Fruits and Leaves: Create icing fruits and leaves or use real berries in our first two feature cakes.  Then it’s simple designs on cookies.  Our final look at fruits and leaves uses ready-to-use decorating embellishments like chocolate leaves, gum drops and fruit candy on iced cupcakes.

    Episode 112 – Tone on Tone: When you need instant elegance and sophistication use tone on tone designs.   A traditional wedding or shower look, you can use tone on tone to make any party upscale.  We start out with a dotted Swiss design cake and cut-out flowers from fondant.  Next add a touch of color with real fruit and also petit fours for a sophisticated look.   Last up; include tone on tone accents in every aspect of your party with beautiful ivory, white and pastel accent invitations.

    Episode 113 – Shells and Borders: Instantly dress up any cake with simple shell patterns and borders. We begin with a Fleur De Lis cake that only looks difficult to assemble.  Our second project uses the same shells and borders with the addition of fresh flowers for a quick design.  Lastly, do an instant dress up on a loaf cake with this simple design tip.
