    Discoveries…India begins it’s journey of exploration in the country capital of Delhi, then expands to the desert state of Rajasthan, Agra and the Taj Mahal, Varanasi and the sacred waters of the Ganges.     Episode 1: The Golden Triangle
    Featuring the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Mehrangarth Fort, Royal Crematorium, Clock Tower Bazaar, Indian Railways, Delhi, Varanasi & Sarnath

    Three of the most beautiful and captivating cities of the country: Delhi (the capital of India), Agra (the city of Taj) and Jaipur (the desert land of Rajput kings) are explored. India’s Taj Mahal is an admired masterpiece that is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. Agra Fort, built in 1565, has a lovely view of “the Taj” and is made up entirely of red sandstone. Jaipur, the vibrant capital of Rajasthan, is known as the “Pink City.”

    Nearby Jaswant Thada, the cremation ground of former rulers with distinctive memorials which commemorate Jaswant Singh II and successive rulers of Marwar is among the many sites discovered in this adventure series. Visits include the capital city of Delhi, Ghandi’s crematorium and the largest mosque in the city, Jama Majid, built in 1650 by Shah Jahan.

    Episode 2: Land of the Maharajas
    Featuring Jaipur ‘s Amber Fort & Jantar Mantar Observatory, Rajasthan Handicrafts, Udaipur’s Jagdish Temple & Miniature Painting, Desert People and Manvar Tent Camp.

    Perhaps the most colorful region in India, Rajasthan represents a mystique unequaled in the world for its amazing diversity in heritage and culture. It is a land graced with impenetrable forts, spectacular palaces and waves of sand dunes and serene lakes. This region represents a mystique unequaled in the world for its amazing diversity in heritage, culture and desert expanse. People, customs, costumes, cuisine, dialects and music all create a huge open-air museum.

    The Pink City of Jaipur is best known for it’s City Palace Complex which includes Jantar Mantar, a collection of astronomical instruments chiseled out of stone and marble. Rajasthan is an unrivaled center for cut and polished gem jewelry and Jaipur is the world’s largest gem cutting center. Udaipur may quite possibly be considered Rajasthan’s most romantic city, and is also known for its famed miniature paintings and Jagdish Temple.

    Episode 3: Rural Treasures
    Featuring Ranakpur Hindu Jain Temple, Udaipur Kumbhalgarh Fort, Ghanerao Tribal Village, Narlai, Dhamli walking tour with royal family & Tigers other wildlife at Ranthambore National Park

    In the Aravali mountains, the Ranakpur Valley opens up from mountainous terrain to reveal the largest Jain temple in India, while the Udaipur Kumbhalgarh Fort affords outstanding views of the dusty plains of Marwar. On the opposite side of the mountain fortress of Kumbhalgarh is the village of Ghanerao, a small community which grew up around 15th century Ghanerao Royal Castle, which is strategically located at the entrance of one of the few passes in the Aravalis.

    Thakur Inder Singh, a descendant of the landed aristocracy that owned this village as well as others during feudal times, has opened his family’s ancestral fort to guests so that they can appreciate the real lifestyle of villagers around Jodhpur. Ranthambore National Park, the hunting ground of the Jaipur Maharajas, is now a national park and tiger preserve. It’s famous for viewing Diurnal tigers and is one of the best places in the world to see these majestic predators in the wild in addition to Indian gazelle, Sambard.
