Founded in 1924, the AZA is a preeminent conservation organization, whose zoo and aquarium member facility attendance exceeds 143 million visitors per year. Wild Zoofari has been granted exclusive zoo and aquarium filmmaking access at such fine facilities as The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo and the San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park.
Wildlife expert and host Jim Knox has appeared often on U.S. television, presenting live wildlife segments for the CBS Early Show, the WB Network, ESPN, and multiple ABC and NBC news programs. Jim has also provided wildlife commentary for the New York Times and Men’s Journal magazine. His recent field conservation work has included an adrenalin-charged Alaskan adventure to track and study the world’s largest terrestrial carnivores, Alaskan Grizzly Bears. In each zoo-themed episode, Jim leads a group of “Zoofari Explorers” (kids, ages 9-12) as they discover the zoo.
