Doug, a South Carolina native, brings a passion and excitement to the screen that not only entertains but informs viewers. He has been tripping the shutter for over twenty seven years and now shares his new and creative techniques with the world. While other photographers are shooting from the comforts of their vehicle or a boardwalk, Doug is sloshing through the mud and muck of South America or braving the elements of sub-zero temperatures in the tundra to get just the right shot. His unique style of an “eye-level” perspective has required him to spend as long as two weeks in the top of a cypress tree and has sent him swimming with alligators. His work has taken him to the depths of the Amazon to photograph animals never before documented.
