Janson Media today announced that The Magical Country of Wales, an episode of its Passport to Adventure series, received the 2007 VisitBritain Travel Journalism Broadcast Award. This episode introduces viewers to the rolling pastures, flower-filled fields and hedge lined country roads of Wales, where the pristine countryside is ideal for cycling through quaint hamlets and snuggling up to a fire in one of many lovely B & Bs. For the adventurous, the Welsh coastline provides stunning terrain for multi-day hikes, and the rugged cliffs and coves are a favorite for climbing and kayaking. Hosts Julie Conover and Mark Jennings travel by canal boat and steam train, then engage the proud locals to learn a tad about the revival of traditional Welsh crafts – distilling whiskey, cheese making, and a creative twist on pate’!

With 43 episodes of Passport to Adventure in the can, world travelers and producers Mark Jennings and Julie Conover take you to some of the world’s most intriguing destinations to experience their natural beauty, wildlife and culture. Their adventures include range from kayaking in Thailand to trekking in Nepal, from cycling in Spain to whale watching in Mexico.
