Janson Media Closes First Deal in Serbia

DTV Production of the Republic of Serbia acquired seven hours of Janson Media’s natural disaster series, When Nature Strikes Back, to be aired in Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia. This documentary series focuses on the incredible human-interest stories of survivors along with amazing and spectacular footage of such catastrophes as earthquakes, mudslides and freak waves.When Nature Strikes Back was produced by Janson Media and Langbein-Skalnik Media for National Geographic Channels International, NDR Germany, and consists at present of seven one-hour episodes: Earthquakes, Floods, Monsoon, Landslides, Freak Waves, El Nino, and Chasing Killer Storms.

DTV Production is a new production and distribution company based in Belgrade. According to executive Dragan Marinkovic,  the company seeks broadcast rights for Serbia, as well as smaller territories of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Kosovo. The region is seeing a growth in the creation of small and medium-sized regional television stations, in need of quality content from abroad, including series, movies, documentaries, and children’s programming.
