Janson Media announced today that it has licensed the series Global Focus: The New Environmentalists (6 x 30′) to Knowledge Research of Greece. Produced by the Mill Valley Film Group and hosted by Robert Redford, Global Focus boasts an impressive list of awards including a Special Jury Award at the recent EcoVision Film Festival, a Goldman Environment Prize, a Mion Environmental Film Award and more.
In Global Focus, producers traveled worldwide to capture the triumphs and challenges of environmental heroes who have stood up to government, corporations and other adversaries. Their common goals are safeguarding the Earth’s natural resources from shortsighted exploitation and the long term effects of pollution, and fighting for environmental justice in their communities. These “New Environmentalists” employ a formidable array of weapons to wage their battles. Picket signs, solar panels, legal briefs, garden hoes, spirituality, pop songs, dance and sheer determination are among their many resources. The series of 5 half-hour films is now available to international Television, VOD, DVD/Video, Non-Theatrical, and New Media markets, exclusively through Janson Media.
