Janson Media today announced the release to international television, VOD, and DVD/video markets of the new season of the 30-minute television series Great Decisions. Now in its 24th season in the U.S.  on national PBS stations, Great Decisions 2009, hosted by former CNN World Affairs Correspondent Ralph Begleiter, is the longest running television program devoted solely to international affairs and foreign policy.

World leaders and experts take a comprehensive look at the eight most critical world affairs issues of the year through the lens of their impact on America and what they mean to you. Each episode takes on a different region or topic critical to an understanding of the changing world in 2009, offering insider tidbits and expert opinion on where we are, where we’re going and how we can get there, encouraging Americans to make a “Great Decision” of their own.

Rather than focusing on breaking news of the moment, or bringing in two extreme perspectives and letting them have at it, Great Decisions 2009 takes a broader look at critical world affairs issues such as The Global Food Crisis, Cuba after Castro, Border Patrol, Human Rights and more. Featured on this seasons eight episodes are a wide range of guests like President Jimmy Carter, Christiane Amanpuor and Drew Barrymore.

Now filmed in High-Definition, Great Decisions was produced by the nonpartisan U.S. Foreign Policy Administration in association with the University of Deleware, and is now available to international television, VOD, non-theatric, and DVD/video markets, exclusively through Janson Media.

The Foreign Policy Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring the American public to learn more about the world.
