Latest “Tracks Ahead” DVD Profiles Washington D.C.’s Union Station & More

Janson Media today announced the worldwide release of the DVD Tracks Ahead:Union Station, Washington, DC / Zane HO Gauge Layout/Collection Maryland / Australia’s Orient Express / South Shore Lines, Indiana (1 x 30′). A production of Milwaukee Public Television, Union Station… is a DVD adapted from the magazine style series for train lovers of all ages and experiences, Tracks Ahead.

 

In the latest Tracks Ahead DVD, viewers get a chance to visit Union Station, the most visited place in Washington, DC. Meet master modeler, brass collector and author of “My Life with Model Trains”, Howard Zane, check out the commuter rail situation in Northern Indiana, and explore the north east coast of Australia on the luxurious Great South Pacific Orient Express.

This magazine-style series has a unique appeal for train lovers of all ages, for railroading novices as well as experts, as it explores every aspect of the railroads of the world. Now broadcast on more than 200 PBS stations across America, host Spencer Christian (formerly of ABC’s Good Morning America) presents the best of steam locomotives, railroad stories, model trains and art. “We’re striving for more depth in each episode,” said David Baule, executive producer and director of the series. “The stories will intrigue a variety of viewers, while walking a middle line between technical and general information. Our goal is to capture the excitement and history of railroading. We continue to explore everything involved with it, from model trains and museums to collectors and authors.”
