Janson Media announced today that its has licensed the series All Bird TV (26 x 24′) to Reel Corporation Australia Pty Ltd. Per the agreement Reel Corporation obtains Home Video Rights of  for the Australian/New Zealand Territory. The adventurous weekly series allows viewers to experience the best birdwatching locations around the world, with locations everywhere from the tropics Costa Rica to the Arizona desert.

In this popular weekly series, ornithologist and “celebrity bird man” Ken Dial takes viewers on adventures in birdwatching across North and Central America. The series originally aired on Animal Planet, and on Discovery Channels worldwide.

Reel Corporation is an independent Australian film distributor. Established in 1990, Reel Corporation distributes many films, children programmes and television series. The company also deals with independent studio film content titles which would receive limited release in cinemas.

Janson Media today announced that it has licensed the DVD rights for the award winning docudrama about the untold story of eleven WWII African American soldiers,  The Wereth Eleven (1 x 60′) to TDM Entertainment. The DVD with extra features including trailers, interviews, and behind the scenes footage was acquired for The Netherlands territory. 

During World War II, 1.2 million African-Americans served in America’s Armed Forces. Fully 125,000 served overseas. 708 were killed. Among these were The Wereth Eleven. Their story was lost to history. Until now.

The Wereth Eleven is an ambitious docudrama based on the true story of eleven African-American soldiers who were ruthlessly murdered by the Nazi SS during the Battle of the Bulge. The film weaves exciting visual effects, never before seen archival footage, and compelling interviews to detail one of the least known atrocities committed during World War II.

The Wereth Eleven stars Ken Arnold (Abduction), and is narrated by actor Corey Reynolds (TNT’s The Closer and Steven Spielberg’s The Terminal). It was written and directed by award winner Robert Child (Silent Wings), and edited by Frederic Lumiere (director of the award winning World War II in HD).

Spirit Lands: An American Desert Odyssey is a visual and musical journey to some of the most spectacular, beautiful and awe-inspiring natural wonders of the American desert. Emmy Award winning cinematographer David Fortney spent four years collecting imagery for this project, traveling to every desert location in America, including seven National Parks.

A variety of innovative filming techniques were used in the production of this non-narrated, visual masterpiece, including motion control, time lapse and low level aerial cinematography.  The film is accompanied by a music score featuring evocative Native American music by John Huling and R. Carlos Nakai. Janson Media announced today that it has licensed the award winning documentary Crossing Borders (1 x 72′) to eqhd™ of Canada. The enlightening film, meant to break down barriers between the Muslim and the Western worlds, will air on the broadcaster’s  eqhd™ channel.

Crossing Borders is a feature documentary that follows four Moroccan and four American university students as they travel together through Morocco and, in the process of discovering “The Other,” discover themselves. With group travels and frank discussions, the students confront the complex implications of the supposed “clash of civilizations” between Islam and the West. The relationships formed through shared experiences contrast sharply with the media-shaped views Americans and Muslims have of each other.  Humor, honesty and a willingness to be challenged all bring individuals closer to each other and the relationships that develop disarm hidden stereotypes.

The relationship between the Muslim and Western worlds has been cast as a “clash of cultures,” a war between civilizations in which one is destined to prevail over the other. But is this so? What are the real attitudes and viewpoints of ordinary Americans and ordinary Muslims? Filmed in Morocco, Spain, the United States, Egypt, Palestine, Israel and Jordan, Crossing Borders aims to give a personal face to the “other side” through the experiences of American students studying abroad and their interactions with students in the moderate Muslim state of Morocco. By avoiding a focus on extremism, the film provides its audience with a sense of the millions of good-willed, “ordinary citizens” on both sides whose voices are often not presented by the media.
