Janson Brings Back Classic Comedy Series, An Evening at the Improv

An Evening at the Improv was America's longest running comedy television series and the originator of the stand-up comedy television genre. The show, which aired on A&E Network between 1982 and 1996, has been re-introduced by Janson Media to a new generation of comedy fans on both the Amazon Prime and Youtube platforms. It provides a look into the comedy of some of the brightest and funniest entertainers before they were famous. The Improv club on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, where the show was filmed, truly served as a career springboard for an entire generation of comedians who went on to become stars of the stage, television and even the big screen.

Nearly every big name in comedy has played The Improv and appears in this classic series. Some of these legends include Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen Degeneres, Adam Sandler, Bob Saget, David Spade, Michael Keaton, Paula Poundstone, Tim Allen, Richard Lewis, and so many more. Travel back in time and see some of their very first stand-up acts as they began their entertainment careers. Janson Media has also launched a Youtube channel dedicated to An Evening at the Improv, where fans can search and find individual stand-up acts of their favorite comedians, with new videos being added weekly.
