Teen Heroine Tara Duncan Comes to SVOD Worldwide

Janson Media has announced an agreement with Princess Sam Productions of Paris, France, to release its celebrated children's animation series Tara Duncan to Amazon digital platforms worldwide.

Based off the novels written by French author Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian, the animated series follows the young Tara Duncan (voiced by Saffron Henderson), a 17-year-old Spellbinder and commander of the Alpha Team. Joined by her two Alpha Team comrades, Sparrow (voiced by Kelly Metzger) and Cat (voiced by Matt Hill), Tara uses her powers to battle evil villains from the Otherworld. The Otherworld is a planet full of magic, where a mix of creatures — humans, giants, trolls, elves, dragons and more — roam the land. The magic affects everyday life there, since animals, plants and the climate are all subject to its whims. Tara and her Alpha Team must navigate this exciting, unpredictable world and keep it free from the evil forces that seek to overtake it.

Tara Duncan has enjoyed sustained success with linear broadcasters since its 2010 debut, and now members of Amazon Prime SVOD will be able to enjoy the first season of the series online or with the Amazon Video app, which is available on mobile devices, TVs and more. Scores of critics and viewers alike have raved about the series, praising it for its creativity and non-stop action.
