The Lost City of Z and Janson Media's Lost in the Amazon are The Perfect Pair

Lost in the Amazon, distributed by Janson Media, is gaining attention after the release of The Lost City of Z, a film, directed by James Gray, which depicts the true story of explorer Col. Percy Fawcett. The film features many notable actors, including Charlie Hunnam as Percy, Robert Pattinson, and Sienna Miller. In the film, Percy Fawcett, previously a British officer, takes his son and friend to the Brazilian Amazon to find an ancient civilization, the City of Z, in 1925, but he disappears forever, leaving a mystery behind.

In the documentary of this story, Lost in the Amazon, Liev Schreiber can be heard narrating, as modern explorer Niall McCann travels to Brazil to solve the mystery. Originally released in 2011, this documentary was recently released on Amazon in August of 2018 by Janson Media. McCann is the latest to attempt to trace and discover what happened to Fawcett, and uses research of Fawcett's notebooks and interviews with natives to get to the bottom of the mystery.
