Drama Series Tells True Story of a Russian Plot to Assassinate Hitler

Uppercut for Hitler, now available on Amazon Prime, is a four-hour drama series is based on real events which took place during World War II, a Russian intelligence operation designed to assassinate Adolf Hitler. In an outstanding boxer, Igor Miklashevsky, is sent to Nazi Germany in the guise of a deserter. Defeating one opponent after another, he approaches the highest levels of the Third Reich’s society, in the hopes of getting close to the Fuhrer.

Uppercut for Hitler is a spy thriller with plenty of action, but there is romance involved as well. Igor falls in love with the secret agent Anastasia Shuvalova, a French woman of Russian descent. She helps Igor with his secret cause — to get close to Adolf Hitler and deliver a fatal uppercut. The series was directed by Denis Neimand, and stars Anton Momo, Polina Tolstun, and Andrew Levin.
